KAB Waste in Place in the Classroom

Waste in Place in S.T.E.M. Classes

KCB believes that with environmental education, we will see the long term change we need to keep our environment clean and healthy for future generations. We partner with FGCU students and interns to help us help our youngest citizens learn how to care for their environment and to develop habits that will last a lifetime, as well as giving college students an opportunity to hone their teaching skills and get real world experience before graduation. These lessons are real world, hands on lessons, and teach students about their environment. KCB will present lessons for K - 5th grades in Charlotte County Public or private schools. Please contact us for more information.

Waste in Place® is a Keep America Beautiful® educational resource developed for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students and educators that offers hands-on activities related to end littering, improve recycling and beautifying communities. The activities are interdisciplinary and STEM correlated. The materials are used by many educators nationwide to influence positive behavior, to foster social responsibility and respect for the environment, and to enrich their students’ learning experiences.

Online video lessons for K - 8th grades

Keep Charlotte Beautiful (KCB) is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and we have FGCU students utilizing the KAB Waste in Place program to develop virtual lessons for Charlotte County, Florida.
